Gennyral update tendon sheath day one

So I am VERY happy to report that when I took off Gen’s soft cast today the swelling actually looks like it went down a little bit. That is HUGE because if his body was attacking itself it would have looked worse today. I finally was able to take a deep breath after seeing that. It is still hot, but even if the swelling had stayed the same at least it is not getting worse. I also think it was doing better because Gennyral clearly knew that something was up and has been standing like a saint all day! Even the barn owner was a little freaked by his careful behavior. Normally when he is in and others are out he is good, but he clearly wants to be out playing. It is almost like he knew I was worried about this being the end so he was extra careful to do everything in his power to be good. Even if he was just sleepy today I am very happy to have such a good pony.

I close hosed using this very cool hose attachment that the barn owner has. I took pictures of this thing (no time to download it tonight) and his tendon got ice cold after the 20 minute session. That is also very good news. Right now I am feeling pretty optimistic. Hopefully it will look good again tomorrow!
