Now that’s one dirty (but happy) pony. We’ve still got snow on the ground but they’re getting dirty by rolling in poop. I’d rather have the mud to clean off.
My chestnut rolled in the mud (both sides) and was out long enough that the mud dried. He looked “like a shadow of his former self” and it took a stiff brush and some elbow grease from his groom (me) to get the dirt off. A lot of winter hair came off with it, so maybe this will result in a quickly shed-out horse (just in time for a cold spell around the end of April). Sigh.

It has warmed up to 75 degrees today…hubby is outside bathing the first of our three very dirty grey boys. Yay!
