6!!! My double show weekend is only 6 days away! Yikes. I know I am only doing intro at the dressage show, but I don’t know my intro tests yet. For some reason the 12th and 13th seemed so far away. I figured I would learn my tests…later. And that I would practice jumping Phoenix…later. With my new job things have just been so crazy. I picked a bad weekend for a show anyway because just looking at my schedule I can only ride again Monday ( don’t even have time to go today!), maybe Wednesday, and Friday. Three more rides. That’s all I have. And my ride yesterday was not exactly stellar so I am not feeling very confident. Phoenix’s owner said she could teach me on Monday though so that should help.
I have never shown 2 days in a row before in my life. The two shows I want to do are in no way at all connected. The dates just happen to work out in my favor. The show on Saturday is a dressage show at the place where our first show was. The show on Sunday is a Hunter show at the local show grounds. I think I will have a lot of fun as long as I stay organized. I have been meaning to go through my show clothes and get everything together…later (jk).
I think I am going to be very tried on Sunday afternoon. I am trying to deversify my helper though so no one else will be as tired as I might get. Hopefully NowThatsATrot will be able to come with me on Sat and the Young Rider on Sunday. Considering I am only doing two classes on Sat and 4 on Sunday it might not be a big deal at all. In fact, who knows…maybe I will get into the habit of doing 2 shows in a weekend!

Good Luck at the shows! I’m sure it will all go well. One of the things I like about doing two shows in a row is that the next day my horse is very quiet and slightly tired, knowing my horse this is a good thing. Just think how much Phoenix will be used to showing after all of this, he’ll be an old pro. Pics please
