So the show got moved from today to Sunday because of all the rain we have had in my area. At first I was excited that it was a day later, maybe I would be feeling better by then! Then I realized that I am an idiot for trying to show this weekend. As a friend so kindly pointed out when she asked me, “would you bring a horse to a show if they were sick and has a fever 2 days before”, it would be stupid for me to push myself. I could hardly go up and down the stairs yesterday, how could I ride well?
So I have decided to just stay home and rest this weekend (although I need to see Gen at some point soon because I didn’t see him yesterday). I am going to try and get a doctors appointment today because I am still not feeling very well, although I could go down stairs to let the dog out this morning without it being an issue. There will be other shows, it is early in the year. I need to take care of myself right now so I can get better!

I hope you feel better soon! Rest up, you won’t regret it. My temp is finally back to normal but I missed 4 days of work.
There will always be more shows – seriously – how much would you enjoy it being sick as a dog? We did one yesterday that about wore me out stress-wise and were supposed to do another today. I just can’t. Besides feeling like I’m getting a cold, it’s supposed to rain and storm off and on all day. Serious recipe for getting even sicker. Besides that, the arena is in a hole and will be flooded for sure. Ugh.
