So tomorrow is my big photo shoot with Gennyral. I have been trying to prep him for it for about a week now. How? Well I am trying to even out his really choppy mane…which is not an easy task. I also clipped his whiskers and his bridle path. Which lead to having to do a braid down because I am trying to grow out his bridle path a bit because it is really long. Plus my poor tortured pony has already gotten not 1, but 2, baths this week! He HATES being clean. He has been rolling in the orange mud and COVERING himself from hoof to ears to get back at me. Tomorrow is the big day so he will get another bath and then after the photo shoot he will be allowed to get dirty and be a horse again. I like having a clean horse! Even if it only lasts for a few hours.
And no onto the other one…My baby horse has not had his Owner get on him in 2 weeks. She had a huge multi day show last week and this week the poor thing was sick. She still sounds terrible. Anyway, last week I only got to ride 2 days and so last night I didn’t expect a lot. And I am glad I didn’t! Texas was a total pain in the ass! His head was straight up in the air and his shoulders went one way and his hind end went another. All well. I was happy to be able to get him at least sort of focused by the end of our ride. His transitions are getting much better! Yay! I am looking forward to our show next week and I think with some days in work this week we will do well.

Looking forward to seeing the pics!
You ended better than you started in your ride – for me that counts as success, particularly as he hasn’t been ridden a lot lately. Clean horses! LOL! One of mine is grey, and although she had a bath recently, she is incredibly filthy again, and stays that way no matter how much grooming I do – there’s always more mud to roll in the next day!
Hey,
I hope you don’t mind that I visited your blog. I love it! I can’t wait to spend more time with it – especially getting to know your General better.
Let me tell you that the quick preview of the shots from yesterday session are great! (can you believe how the weather changed again after I left!) There is a definite bond between you and General, even if we caught a glimpse of it.
I will try to get a few up on my blog for you to look at by tonight.
Thank you again for supporting the Handicapp Rider program, you are a true horsewoman!
