So I just got off the phone with The Wife at Hill Farm. She called this morning to leave me a message that Gen’s leg seemed better today. I am still a little concerned because she didn’t think he was that bad before. I also admit that I am a little high strung and nervous about my horse so while things might not worry someone else, they do worry me.
I trust The Wife at Hill Farm though. She is a very experienced horse person. If says they leg is not swollen and that the heat is gone I believe her…like 90%. Man I wish I was able to go see my horse today!!!! She did go above and beyond the call of duty this morning for me. She took of the wrap, rinsed off the poultice and was worried that the cold water might have been making his tendon seem cooler then it really is. So she left him in and waited for his leg to dry and checked him again. The leg was still cool.
So I feel much better. I still have a little bit of nagging fear, but I am not terrified I am going to have to put him down anymore.
Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts!!!!! I really do think they worked!!!!!

Phew. Continuing to pray that he stays cool legged
He seems to be fine and tomorrow the vet is coming so you will most likely have a good diagnosis by then. Will still send you some cooling thoughts.
Good to hear! You will feel better tomorrow when you see him in person and the vet checks him out!
Keep us posted….hang in there.
